After the launch of the direct flight Minsk – Chisinau – Minsk by the Belorussia air company “Belavia”, Union ANAT in partnership with the Moldovan Investment Agency has organized Informational Tour to Moldova for the delegation from Belarus.
From December, 11th till December 14th 2018 more than 20 participants representing the most famous tourist companies, media sources and official institutions of Belorussia have been visiting main attractions, tourist itineraries and a number of most famous wineries of the Republic of Moldova. On December 11th, thanks to our partner “Belavia”, Informational tour participants have arrived at Chisinau International Airport in just an hour and a half. Mrs. Anna Colța, president of ANAT Union has continued the idea of strengthening relations for cooperation in the field of tourism development between Moldova and Belorussia and thanked all the partners who helped to organize this event. ”It is quite symbolic that this Informational tour starts with an excursion through Chisinau International Airport as it represents the main gateway to Moldova. After the press briefing guests were invited for a lunch at Chisinau International Airport restaurant during which the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with traditional Moldovan dishes. After that, Avia Invest Company has organized an excursion on visiting Chisinau International Airport. Our Belorussian Partners were surprised to see the well-thought zoning and equipping of the Airport premises, huge library, mother and baby rest rooms, children rest area with a robotic puppy and of course the Airport proper brewery – Lumen Craft. They commented that it is the first airport they have ever seen equipped with any facilities and possible entertainment ever, and the atmosphere of winter holidays with the cute bear sleeping near the main Charismas tree made them feel like in a fairy-tale.
Full of positive emotions after visiting the Chisinau International Airport guests arrived at their hotel – Bristol Central Park. On their way to hotel and thanks to our guide they have learned general information on the history and architecture of our capital. Evening was full of surprises. Being greeted with the folkloric music of ensemble “Stefan Voda” and after an excursion on visiting Asconi Winery our guests were enjoying traditional dishes and tasted the best Asconi wines. Everybody admired rich Moldovan folklore, Moldovan hospitality, interesting rural architecture and high quality of wines. The first day ended with unforgettable emotions and our guest, tired but excited arrived to their hotel to recharge their batteries for the day coming.
The next day our guests visited the Curchi Monastery and Chateau Vartely Winery where they tasted the noble wines from the superb collection. After that they visited Old Orhei where they learned a little about the Moldovan cuisine, making “placinte” and preparing the “mamaliga”, Moldovan traditional food. Happy and enthusiastic Belarusians headed to Cricova where they visited the underground city, got acquainted with different methods of wines and sparkling wines production, tasted excellent wines and served delicious dishes. Our guests were fascinated by the underground city with streets named after different sorts of wines and amazed by wine collections including those the heads of states of all over the world keep there. Happy and inspired they arrived at Gok Oguz Restaurant where our guests had the possibility to taste traditional Gagauzian dishes.
The third day was very rich in events. In the morning our guests went to visit the Transnistria. They visited the Bender fortress, renewed and with a very interesting and rich history (we recommend you to visit it), Sturgeon complex “Aquatir”, the only place in Moldova where the black caviar is produced, this caviar is exported to a number of countries. After that the Belorussian delegation headed to Chateau Purcari, the oldest winery of Moldova. Our guests admired so much the atmosphere of the old Chateau, discovering the history of the winery, tasting foie gras served with ice wine and endeavoring wines that had won gold medals at various world contests that they appeared to be late for the press briefing and B2B meeting planned for that evening. Climate conditions were not favorable as well so the B2B meeting was held during the Festive Dinner at the Bristol Restaurant. During the dinner accompanied with beautiful classical music representative of Moldovan companies of incoming tourism managed to exchange their experience with their counterparts from Belorussia and made first steps on inclusion of Moldovan touristic product in the offers of Belorussian touristic companies.
Representatives of Belorussian delegation including journalists, reporters, bloggers, managers of the most famous touristic companies and officials of the Republic of Belarus thanked the organizers for the opportunity to enjoy treasures and discover tourist potentials of the Republic of Moldova.
